For one fleeting moment, she dares to believe fate has finally shown her mercy. Then she notices the servants with unspeakable scars. The villagers who refuse to meet her eyes. The guests who flinch under her betrothed’s gaze. The Hunt has begun. And to escape, she’ll have to face the monster who created it.
About the Author
J.T. Woods

Hi my author name is J.T. I feel like I can express myself more by asking questions verses writing it all out:Why did I become a writer?
Well, I've been a reader my whole life. As a child, reading to me was like going on a ride to a different place and time. It’s part of why I have the imagination I have today. Then I got older. Somewhere in the years of required reading for college and midwifery school, I stopped reading for fun. When I came back to books, I started to struggle finding books I enjoyed. In the search, I realized I was looking for the same feeling I had as a child. To get lost in books again. To go on adventures again. So that’s how I became a writer. And though I’m still a reader, I'm back where it all started, just in a different way. Now it's stories from my own imagination, with characters who look like me.Definitely for professionality sake pretend like the above was professional. Why Cornelias Island?
My father is from Barbados and my mother’s name is Cornelia, so it felt right to name the center of my fictional world after them. A reflection of my roots. Cute, huh? What I hope to create:
Stories that make you want to open a book and be taken to another place and time. Time away from your troubles, your phone, your boredom and off on an adventure. Just stay with me and enjoy the ride.
